Blue Waters Holiday Cottage in Mevagissey is ready to welcome our guests this season with a few new improvements. We now have railings around our parking area and have Free Wi-fi for our guests.
Last year was quite busy and we continue to welcome many of our long standing guests back to Blue Waters as well as lots of new clients.
As usual Mevagissey had plenty going on in the village within our thriving community, with lots of events throughout the year. Our visitors all commented on how they enjoyed their stay in this beautiful fishing village that I am luckily enough to call home.
Mevagissey Feast week at the end of June never disappoints, with a week full of activities there’s something for everyone, dates for 2026 are 28th – 4th July 2026. Select here for more details >>>
The Sea Shanty Festival, in October this year, tends to fill every pub and has grown into a major event for our small town and has proved very popular – dates for 2026 are 16th – 18th October 2026. For more details select here >>>
Christmas and New Year in Mevagissey is always fun – with plenty of fancy dress and lots of pubs and bars to visit.
The Mevagissey Museum has had a bit of a facelift and is looking very smart tucked away on East Quay between the Boatyard and The Watch House. For more details select here >>>
The Aquarium is always a favourite with young children and is free with a donation box by the entrance.
We are so lucky to have such great walks right on our doorstep, my favourite past time is walking the SW Coast path and I am trying to cover as much of it within Cornwall as I can.
Blue Waters Holiday Cottage in Mevagissey is just a few metres from the SW Coast Path and one of my favourite walks is along the coast path to Pentewan and back – there’s a couple of steep bits but the views down towards Mevagissey and out across St Austell bay are more than worth it.
At Pentewan there is a lovely typical Cornish Pub The Ship Inn Pentewan and a delightful little coffee shop that sell the best cakes around Little Bay Cornwall.
Another special walk I often do is the St just in Roseland – St Mawes circular walk – its about 6 miles but with St Mawes as the half way point there are plenty of places to stop for lunch and even go for a swim. With views across to Falmouth and towards St Antony head finishing off with walking along the river and creeks – it has to be one of my top walks so far. Select for more details here >>>
I look forward to welcoming new and old clients to Blue Waters in 2026.
