Bessie Vee Charters

The MV Bessie Vee is a spacious, swift charter boat, licensed and equipped to carry 11 passengers up to 60 miles from a safe haven. All sea anglers are welcome - from complete beginners to experts; her swiftness guarantees that you'll have more fishing time than on many other angling boats, and her size allows for plenty of elbow room for battlers! We have a choice of over 150 wrecks in the area, and when tides allow, we anchor up to fish for ling, conger, pouting and whiting amongst others. At times when tides are against anchoring on wrecks, we can drift for pollock, cod, coley and bass, or fish purely for bass, with live baits, on the Dodman, the Manacles or the Eddystone. For serious rod-bending, we can go sharking for blues, porbeagles or threshers, whatever the tide. There is always the option to do a combination of fishing. Rods are available to hire for a small fee.

The Aquila

One of Mevagissey's best charter fishing boats, available from the harbour throughout the year. Fishing can vary from a mackerel fishing trip to fishing on sandbanks, deep gullies or the various wrecks which are spread all around our Cornish coastline. Furuno echo sounder/colour fish finder, for pinpoint accuracy in locating and drifting wrecks and reefs or returning to reported sightings of Whales or Dolphins.

John Arthur Fishing

John Arthur is a Cornish fisherman that comes from and operates out of Mevagissey. We offer a service where anything you catch, you keep! This means you could catch a boats load of fish and you can take it all home with you. He currently operates out of a fairly sized boat called 'Venus', the 'Venus' can currently hold up to 12 people, all sitting.

Being on the south-west coast path, there are many walks to enjoy around Mevagissey. Walking in Cornwall should be planned adequately as anywhere else, so make sure you take lots of water with you, some sun and rain protection, a 1st aid kit, some cash, a well charged mobile and let someone be aware at what time you are planning to return latest.
